Frequently Asked Questions:

Do you accept dental insurance?

Yes! We are happy to file claims with ALL insurance companies.

Our office is currently in-network with most major insurance carriers; however, insurance plans are very specific to the individual.   We are happy to help you to understand the specific dental benefits of your plan and how they can be used in our office.

What if I do not have insurance?

Don't worry!  Many of our patients do not have dental insurance.  We are happy to provide a discount for cash payments at the time of service and have variety of payment plans available through Care Credit to help you finance your dental treatment.

Can I use my Flex spending or health savings account?

Yes!  Your FSA or HSA card is able to be swiped just like a credit card in our office.

When should my child's first dental visit be?

We see children as soon as the first tooth erupts! The first visit should be before age 1. Don't worry if you missed it (many parents do), get them in as soon as possible to get started on a healthy mouth!  The first visit will be so much fun for you and your little one. We count teeth, check for cavities and developmental problems, demonstrate brushing and flossing techniques and tips, discuss food and drink recommendations, and paint vitamins (fluoride) on the teeth to help make them strong!

What can I expect at my first visit?

Becky will have some quick paperwork to start your visit.  Be sure to bring any insurance information and a list of medications and allergies.  Any necessary xrays and photos will be taken first, these are quick and easy!  Dr. Kusiak will then do a thorough examination taking note of any past dental work and current problems. She will check your teeth, gums, tissues, muscles and joints to be sure they are in good shape! Dr. Kusiak will review any treatment needs and options with you in detail. Often we also have time to treat minor needs or clean your teeth during this first visit as well.

I have dental anxiety, how can you help?

We would be happy to help in any way possible!   Many patients have had poor dental experiences in the past that leave them fearful.   We would love to show you how much dentistry has evolved.   Dr. Kusiak is very caring and gentle.  Our state of the art equipment makes taking x-rays and impressions quick and easy.  We also offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to our patients with dental anxiety to help them relax.  In each treatment room you will find a basket with several items that may help you relax including pillows and blankets.  Many patients find that bringing headphones and listening to their favorite music or podcasts can be very helpful. Please let us know if there is anything we can do or not do to help make your visit more enjoyable.
